uPVC frames do not radiate solar energy like metal windows. Laminate and Solar E glass add insulation that can cut heat gain and electricity use.
Metal frames transfer heat into rooms. Domuv uPVC does not radiate solar energy the same way. Combined with laminate or Solar E glass, openings help air conditioning work less hard through Caribbean afternoons.
Solar E can reduce heat gain by about half on relevant elevations, which also helps curtains and drapes fade more slowly under UV.
