uPVC requires little maintenance, does not rust like steel, and avoids many aluminium failures in salt and humidity.
The acronym uPVC stands for Unplasticised Poly-Vinyl Chloride. It is a rigid material for doors and windows that is strong, tough, and resilient compared with typical aluminium, steel, and timber systems in Caribbean conditions.
Steel rusts and needs continuous painting. Aluminium and its components tend to oxidize in high salt environments, corners leak, and rubber gaskets shrink in Caribbean humidity. Domuv uPVC will not rot, darken, fade, or peel the same way, and does not transfer heat like metal frames.
